On June 6, 2019, over 50 students from the Japanese School of Hanoi had a study visit to Vietnam National University of Agriculture (VNUA). This meaningful program was held under the collaboration of the Center for Public Relations and Student Supports and the Faculty of Agronomy, VNUA.

At the meeting hall of the Faculty of Agronomy, the students were introduced about rice plants such as the morphological characteristics of rice root, stems and leaves, the characteristics of rice plants through each stage of growth, pollination, fertilization, and seed formation; and growth stages of rice plants, etc.

In this program, the students of the Japanese School of Hanoi had a chance to directly practice tray rice seedling-growing technique, fertilization and planting techniques, and manual harvesting and threshing techniques at the rice fields of the Faculty of Agronomy. The event was an excellent occasion for teachers and students of the Japanese School of Hanoi to learn about the morphological and anatomical characteristics of rice; the activities in the program helped them to develop a passion for learning and doing scientific research.
