On December 28, 2018, a delegation of 600 teachers, parents and pupils of grade 11, Chu Van An High School Hanoi led by Mr. Nguyen Duc Binh, Deputy Secretary of the School’s Communist Party Committee, paid a study tour to Vietnam National University of Agriculture. The visit was the opportunity for them to explore and experience study environment at VNUA.

Mr. Dang Xuan Phi, Lecturer of the Faculty of Economics and Rural Development had an interesting presentation on agricultural entrepreneurship associated with tourism. This is the model of organizing study tours to attractive tourist places integrated with agricultural activities that the university is trying to develop.

Guests from Chu Van An High School Hanoi visited several research centres of the university including the Centre for Mushroom and Medicinal Mushroom Production, the Research Center for Tropical Bees and Beekeeping. They also had a chance to visit spirulina algae production model, vegetables cultivation model applied aeroponic technology and hydroponic technology, and botanical garden. At these places, VNUA experts introduced processes to produce products through which they can imagine how they will study and how to start a business with these products. The Veco - Educational Ecology Center was the last stop for pupils where they could join traditional activities such as cooking rice, sailing.

The study tour with memorial moments and activities and practical experience enables Chu Van An pupils’ understandings about Vietnam National University of Agriculture. The university hopes to have more pupils to come and explore its activities and study environment.
