There are more than 150 types of headaches, which are broadly classified into two main categories: primary and secondary headaches. Secondary headaches arise from underlying medical conditions such as sinusitis, head injury, intracranial hemorrhage, brain tumors, or hypertension. In contrast, primary headaches—including migraine, cluster headache, and tension-type headache—represent the most common causes of discomfort and reduced quality of life worldwide (Wang et al., 2023).
