On the afternoon of September 8, 2026, at the Nguyet Que Hall, Vietnam National University of Agriculture (VNUA), the Faculty of Information Technology, in collaboration with Taejin System Co., Ltd. of the Republic of Korea, successfully organized a seminar on “Smart Factory Solutions and the Korean ODA-Funded Project.” The event also featured the signing ceremony of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the two parties, marking an important step forward in strengthening the connection between education, scientific research, and the practical application of technology.
Attending the event, the Korean delegation included Mr. Kim Young-nam, CEO of Taejin System Co., Ltd., along with experts from Seoul TechnoPark and representatives of other Korean partner organizations. Representing Vietnamese enterprises were leaders and representatives from various manufacturing and technology companies in Hanoi and neighboring provinces, including DAEYONG Vietnam JSC, FARINA Food Co., Ltd., and the Institute of Agricultural and Rural Environment, among others.
Representing Vietnam National University of Agriculture (VNUA) were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Cong Tiep, VNUA’s Vice President; Dr. Pham Quang Dung, Vice Dean in charge of the Faculty of Information Technology; Dr. Nguyen Trong Kuong, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Information Technology; along with representatives from the Faculty’s departments, faculty members, staff, and students.
In his welcome remarks, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Cong Tiep, VNUA’s Vice President, emphasized that “In the era of Industry 4.0, digital transformation, automation, and the development of smart production models are inevitable trends and key drivers of enhancing the competitiveness of businesses. Vietnam National University of Agriculture has always been at the forefront of innovation and the application of modern technologies. Today’s event represents a practical realization of the ‘Government–University–Business’ linkage, opening up opportunities to access ODA funding that can provide practical support for businesses in optimizing production processes and improving business efficiency.”

At the seminar, Mr. Kim Young-nam, CEO of Taejin System, delivered presentations on several practical technology topics:
· Overview of Taejin System and Seoul TechnoPark: An introduction to Taejin System’s leading technical consulting capabilities in projects funded by the Government of the Republic of Korea’s ODA program.
· Smart Factory Solutions: An analysis of digital factory models, IoT architecture, production-line automation, and optimization solutions covering operations, monitoring, and production data management.
· Details of the Korean ODA Funding Program: Detailed guidance on the eligibility criteria, benefits, and application procedures for participating in ODA-supported projects funded by the Government of the Republic of Korea.

Immediately following the presentations, a lively discussion and hands-on guidance session on completing the application forms for participation in ODA projects took place. Representatives from the participating businesses engaged directly with Taejin System experts to address their questions and finalize their application documents right at the venue.
A key highlight of the seminar was the signing ceremony of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on cooperation between the Faculty of Information Technology, VNUA, and Taejin System Co., Ltd.

Representing the Faculty of Information Technology, VNUA, Dr. Pham Quang Dung, Vice Dean in charge of the Faculty, expressed his confidence in the sustainable development of the partnership between the two sides: “The signing of this Memorandum of Understanding marks the beginning of a strategic partnership between the Faculty of Information Technology, VNUA, and Taejin System. The agreement opens up opportunities for extensive cooperation in three key areas: research and development; education and human resource development, including providing students with opportunities for international internships and employment; and academic exchange. This is a clear testament to an effective cooperation model between the Faculty and the business community.”
