Agribusiness Management
1. Educational Objectives
The Advanced Training Program on Agribusiness Management is intended for undergraduate students who have good health, personality, and the ability of comprehending the Science of Agribusiness Management. The program will be the privilege of having modern teaching facilities, the classified faculties, advanced teaching methods in order to reach the international education standard.
2. Program Objectives
The main objective of the program is to educate and supply high quality graduates, as competent managers for agriculture, agribusiness, and the rural and allied sectors. The program caters to the needs of organizations serving both domestic and international entities.
3. Knowledges provided by the Program:
(1) In general, students are required to achieve knowledge of Marxism, Leninism, and political thought of Ho Chi Minh as well as other sciences as such: social sciences, mathematics, physics, chemistry, and biology.
(2) Students are provided up to date knowledge of economics and business management, especially agribusiness management (strategic management, leadership management, personnel management, financial management, marketing management as well as international trade and commercial communication and negotiation)
4. Skills
(1) Students under this program can be able to use English in learning, researching, and communicating with others. The proficiency of English in listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills will help them well discussing and articulating themes and their interests regarding their study fields as well as enhancing their communication in their social life.
(2) Students are also able to acquire the skills of information collection, data analysis, and academic writing on the application of computer software intended for a specific academic field. Moreover, the skills of strategic planning, investment analyzing, financial reporting will also be provided in field trip activities required.
5. Abilities
(1) Graduate students will be qualified for academic works in universities and research institutes as well as having high competence to work for any domestic and foreign industries, or continuously pursuing higher degree.
(2) The expectation of accomplishing this program will be the threshold in expanding the curriculum on other courses in the Faculty of Economics and Rural Development such as: Agricultural Economics, Agricultural Business, Rural Development, Agricultural Extension, and Business Accounting.
6. Admission
Applicants must satisfy the University's general and specific requirements for admission to the program which are detailed below:
For Vietnamese students
Eligible criteria:
Students must pass the national entrance exam to the University as regulated by the Ministry of Education and Training in order to apply for the Agribusiness Management Program (Advanced Education Program).
How to apply:
Students submit the application form to the Advanced Program office (Submission time is announced on the university website 2-3 weeks after freshmen enrolment into the University). Admission criteria and content of the entrance exam will be determined by the president each year
Students selected for the Agribusiness Management program (Advanced Education Program) are required to take an English exam (the TOEFL test as a minimum of 300 points) and hold a current international English certificate.
For International students
Eligible criteria:
Students who have graduated from high school or who have a higher educational level.
How to apply:
Students submit their documents and receive the admission results from the International Cooperation Office, VNUA. The documents include high school academic transcripts, personal profile, and English language certification. The admission criteria will be decided by the president of the University each year.

Training process:
Students accumulate 150 credits (71 general credits, 21 foundation credits, 33 professional credits, and 25 credits for field trip and thesis). Students must complete 3 credits for physical training, 11 credits for citizen military, 2 credits for IT, and 6 credits for soft skills. Courses are distributed over 9 semesters, which is equivalent to 4.5 years
