The Ministry of Agriculture and Environment hold a conference to announce the Minister's decisions on personnel appointments and the consolidation of the leadership team of Vietnam National University of Agriculture (VNUA).
At the conference, Mr. Pham Tan Tuyen, Director General of the Department of Organization and Personnel under the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment, announced the Minister's decisions regarding the appointment of VNUA's managerial personnel.

Under Decision No. 2025/QD-BNNMT, dated May 28, 2026, the Minister of Agriculture and Environment reappointed Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thi Lan as VNUA’s President for a five-year term, effective from the date the decision was signed.
On the same day, the Minister also issued Decision No. 2021/QD-BNNMT and Decision No. 2015/QD-BNNMT, appointing Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vu Ngoc Huyen and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Cong Tiep as VNUA’s Vice Presidents.
The conference also announced VNUA’s President's decisions on personnel appointments following the university's organizational restructuring and consolidation. Under these decisions, Dr. Nguyen Quoc Oanh was appointed the Principal of the School of Training and Capacity Building for Agriculture and Environment Officials, while Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Quoc Hung was appointed the Director of the Fruit and Vegetable Research Institute, along with several other managerial appointments.
Speaking at the conference, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Environment Nguyen Quoc Tri congratulated the newly appointed officials and emphasized that the coordinated appointment of leadership positions under both the Ministry's authority and the university's jurisdiction reflected a unified approach to leadership development. He noted that these appointments would support the modernization of university governance, enhance the effectiveness of institutional autonomy, and provide a strong foundation for the university's rapid and sustainable development.
The Deputy Minister called on VNUA to continue advancing university governance, improving the quality of education in line with the needs of the agricultural sector and the labor market, strengthening scientific research, innovation, and technology transfer, and expanding collaboration with businesses and international partners. These efforts, he said, would help the university achieve its vision of becoming a modern research university with regional competitiveness and growing international recognition.

Speaking on behalf of the newly appointed leaders, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thi Lan, VNUA’s President, expressed her sincere gratitude to the leadership of the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment for the confidence they had placed in the appointees. She emphasized that the appointments represented not only a great honor but also a profound responsibility to the Ministry, the university, and society.
Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thi Lan affirmed that, in the new term, VNUA would continue to build on its nearly 70-year tradition of excellence by placing education and training, scientific research, innovation, and technology transfer at the heart of its development strategy. The university would also foster a democratic and professional academic environment, strengthen international cooperation, and further align its education programs with practical needs, thereby contributing to the development of high-quality human resources for the agricultural and environmental sectors and the nation as a whole.
“We believe that a university should not only impart knowledge but also create new knowledge, nurture talent, and translate scientific achievements into practical benefits for society. This is the path that Vietnam National University of Agriculture will pursue with unwavering commitment,” Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thi Lan emphasized.
