Vietnam National University of Agriculture has received international students since 1960. Sine then, VNUA has always created best conditions for their living and studying despite of its own difficulties. One of international cooperation strategies of VNUA is to attract more international students to pursue their higher education at VNUA. Therefore, VNUA has seen an increase in the number of international students both long term and short term. Currently, the number of long term international students is about 129 from 4 countries including Laos, Cambodia, Mozambique and Angola. The number of international students participating in short-term exchange programs (credit exchange, short-term training, interns, research fellows) are about hundreds of students each year. In order to create a playground for international students at the university, a Cultural Night was held on 21 August 2015.
