Hanoi University of Agriculture (HUA) has been committed to the training of students from Laos for 51 years and from Cambodia for 28 years. Up to date, a total of 300 students (undergraduate, post-graduate, and also doctoral) graduated from HUA. In order to foster the implementation of the second phase of Profession Oriented Higher Education project (POHE2) coordinated by the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) in accordance with the Overall Development Scheme of Hanoi University of Agriculture (HUA) towards 2020, and HUA’s Strategic Plan 2007-2020, a meeting to discuss POHE2 implementation chaired by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vu Van Liet, Vice Rector, was held at HUA with the attendance of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dinh Van Chinh, Vice Rector for education and training, representatives from Faculties, Offices of Training Management, and International Cooperation. The meeting focused on solutions to improve the efficiency and the development of profession orientated education. In the morning of 26 March 2014, Hanoi University of Agriculture organized the 23rd Review Workshop on Student Scientific Research. Representatives of the Rectorate Board, representative leaders of faculties and related offices, lecturers, staff and over 140 students attended the workshop. The workshop was divided into 02 sub-committees including (1) Agronomy, Biotechnology, Veterinary Medicine, Food Technology, Land Management and Environment, and (2) Socio-economics, Engineering and Information Technology .Action Research in Agricultural Sciences Presentation Day.

On 19 March 2014, the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine (FVM) held the 23rd Review Workshop on Student’s Scientific Research (SSR) at Hanoi University of Agriculture (HUA).Attending the workshop, Assoc. The Porcine Reproductive & Respiratory Syndrome (PRRS)- Blue ear virus with complicated and unpredictable occurrence has caused heavy economic losses to pig raising farmers. Promptly capturing urgent need to respond to it, the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Hanoi University of Agriculture (HUA) has been quickly engaging in monitoring, diagnosing, and investigating the evolution of the PRRS virus on pigs. Such timely commitment has great contribution to prevention and protection against PRRS.
