Within the framework of the  project “Labour Market Observatory in Vietnam universities”, project No. 609653-EPP-1-2019-1-IT-EPPKA2-CBHE-JP) (LAB-MOVIE) funded by the European Commission, Vietnam National University of Agriculture (VNUA) held the “Project Training Course on Knowledge and Methodology  to Analyse the Labour Market” from 16-18 November 2020 in Hanoi. Participants come from the partner universities in Vietnam including Vietnam National University of Agriculture (VNUA), Hanoi University (HANU), Thai Nguyen University (NTU), Hanoi University of Industry (HAUI), Nguyen Tat Thanh University (NTTU), Hanoi Small and Medium Enterprises Association (HanoiSME) and experts meeting online via Zoom from University of Padova - Italy, University of Salamanca – Spain, Universidade NOVA de Lisboa – Portugal.

During the training period, participants who are lectures and researchers at Vietnamese universities were introduced about the detail contents of the statistical survey, the focus group, how to construct a questionnaire and the methodology to analyse the labour market in three economic sectors, namely tourism sector, information technology and telecommunications sector and agri-food sector. After the online training section, the participants were divided into three working groups for module discussions and sharing the advantages and barriers when conducting the labour market survey in Vietnam in the coming years.

Also at the training course, Dr. Paolo Costa and Dr. Anna Boaretto from University of Padova shared the know-how and research results as well as suggestions on some proposals for Vietnamese colleagues when conducting the labour market in tourism sector, information technology and telecommunications sector and agri-food sector.

During the three fruitful working days, the “Project Training Course on Knowledge and Methodology  to Analyse the Labour Market” under the  LAB-MOVIE project was successfully organized with a lot of knowledge and experiences on labour market survey for Vietnamese lecturers and researchers.

The project “Labour Market Observatory in Vietnam universities” (LAB- MOVIE) is one of projects funded by the European Commission for the period of 2020-2022 with the involvement of more than 40 participants. For the European universities, the University of Padova (Italy) is the coordinator with participation of University of Salamanca (Spain), Universidade NOVA de Lisboa (Portugal), STEPS Srl (Italy). For the partner countries, 6 Vietnamese universities and association including Vietnam National University of Agriculture (VNUA), Hanoi University (HANU), Thai Nguyen University (NTU), Hanoi University of Industry (HAUI), Nguyen Tat Thanh University (NTTU), Hanoi Small and Medium Enterprises Association (HanoiSME), among that, HANU is the country coordinator.
