Joongbu University (JBU) was established in February 1983 in Chungnam Province, formerly the Joongbu School of Social Industry. Joongbu University is one of the famous private universities in Korea. The university has two training facilities, Chungcheong campus at 201 Daehak-ro, Chubu-myeon, Geumsan-gun, Chungcheongnam, Korea; and Goyang campus at 305 Dongheon-ro, Deoguang-gu, Goyang-si, Gyeonggi, South Korea. With the educational development orientation of "creativity, integrity and integration", JBU has created an advanced educational environment with modern facilities, and signed cooperation agreements with many universities around the world to reach the title of an international university.
During the exchange and cooperation, the Faculty of Accounting and Business Administration, Vietnam National University of Agriculture had built a good initial relationship with JBU. However, in order to serve as a basis for formal cooperation in the future between the two universities, the JBU proposed Vietnam National University of Agriculture (VNUA) and JBU signing a memorandum of understanding (MOU) clearly stating the cooperation principles, contents and fields.
On May 4, 2022, VNUA and JBU held an online Signing Ceremony for Memorandum of Understanding on the Zoom platform. The purpose of the MOU signing program between the two universities is to cooperate in student exchange programs and bachelor's degree programs in order to increase learning opportunities and develop students' capacity to supply high-quality human resources to meet the needs of the labor market and society.

Attending the ceremony, from VNUA, there were Prof. Dr. Pham Van Cuong – Vice President of the University, Assoc. Dr. Nguyen Viet Long – Head of the International Cooperation Office, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Do Quang Giam - Dean of Faculty of Accounting and Business Administration, Dr. Nguyen Anh Tru – Vice Dean of Faculty of Accounting and Business Administration and other lecturers in the Faculty. From Joongbu University, there were Prof. Dr. Lee Jung Yull – Vice Rector, Prof. Dr. Choi Young Mo – Head of International Cooperation Office, Dr. Lee Min Hee – Head of the International Cooperation Department and Dr. Jang Seok Jin - Director of the Korean Language Center.

After a period of productive and active work, a Memorandum of Understanding between Vietnam National University of Agriculture and Joongbu University was signed. VNUA assigned the Faculty of Accounting and Business Administration as the focal coordinator to continue the discussion about the detailed cooperation contents with JBU, first of all focusing on potential fields of cooperation between the two universities, namely Business Administration and e-Commerce. Hopefully, the Memorandum of Understanding would open up the potentials and promote many opportunities for cooperation in training and science and technology between the two universities.
