The Recognition Ceremony for Organization and Individuals’ Notable Contributions to VNUA’s Development and the 109^th International Women’s Day Celebration were held on 6^th March 2019 at the Conference Hall A, VNUA

The ceremony received the attendance of by H.E Paul Jansen – Ambassador of the Embassy of Belgium, H.E Elsbeth Akkerman – Ambassador of the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, H.E Rosario Portell – Ambassador of the Embassy of Uruguay, H.E Jaime Chomali – Ambassador of the Embassy of Chile, H.E João Manuel Bernardo – Ambassador of the Embassy of Angola, H.E Opsophy - Deputy Ambassador of the Embassy of Cambodia, Ms. Elisa Cavacece – Deputy Head of Mission, Embassy of Ireland, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thi Lan – President of VNUA, Prof. Dr. Tran Duc Vien – Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Prof. Dr. Pham Van Cuong– Vice President of VNUA, representatives of embassies, international organizations and the leaders of more than 100 high schools and enterprises and nearly 600 VNUA staff, lecturers and students.

In her opening speech, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thi Lan, VNUA President, reviewed the remarkable achievements of VNUA in 2018. She sincerely thanks embassies, international organizations, high schools, businesses for their supports in the training, scientific research and international cooperative activities of VNUA. She believes that with the cooperation of universities, international organizations and enterprises, VNUA will increasingly contribute to the development of "Prosperous agriculture, wealthy farmers and civilized countryside”

After that, on behalf of embassies, high schools and enterprises, H.E Elsbeth Akkerman – Ambassador of the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, ​​Mr. Dang Van Chien - Rector of Cao Ba Quat High School (Hanoi) and Mr. Nguyen Van Chien - Deputy General Director of CP Vietnam Livestock Joint Stock Company expressed the best wishes to VNUA female staff on the occasion of International Women's Day. They especially congratulated Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thi Lan, the only individual receiving the noble Kovalevskaia Prize in 2018. They affirmed that Vietnam National University of Agriculture has been a key national university making an important contribution to the development of agriculture and international integration of Vietnam. They were very pleased to further strengthen cooperation with VNUA in the training, scientific research and international cooperation activities in the future.

Continuously, VNUA recognized and honored 15 embassies, international organizations, 15 high schools, 12 businesses and 18 female officials who have contributed notably to the development of VNUA

On this occasion, Prof. Dr. Tran Duc Vien - Chairman of the Board of Trustees sent his best wishes to female colleagues. He also congratulated Prof. Dr. Ta Thi Thu Cuc, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thi Tram, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thi Lan - three scientists of VNUA receiving the Kovalevskaia Prize.

At the end of the ceremony, the Tree Planting Ceremony "Forever grateful to Uncle Ho" took place with the participation of embassies, VNUA Presidency Board, the Board of Trustees and leaders of faculties and offices and equivalent. In addition, VNUA also organized the campus tours for high school leaders.
