In the academic year 2013-2014, FVM has gained remarkable achievements in SSR. A notable accomplishment was the research led by Luong Quoc Hung and advised by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thi Lan on “Application of IHC Immunohistochemocal Technique in Diagnosing Circovirus Diseases on Pigs in Suburb Areas of Hanoi” which won the first prize for agricultural science awards at the competition: “Vietnam Young Scientist Talent –VIFOTEC”. It was awarded the first prize for SSR at HUA and other six prizes at FVM as well.

The workshop is a forum for students and lecturers to discuss and share their professional knowledge and a good opportunity for student to receive valuable comments from FVM’s Science Council and further to open up their engagement in scientific research as well as a good preparation for their future career.

\r\n

The results of many projects were presented at the workshop. Members of FVM’s Science Council all highly appreciated students’ interest and hard works with creative, diversified, applicable, and practical researches. Three of them were awarded highest prizes after a careful evaluation by FVM’s Science Council as follows:

1. The first prize: Pathological characteristics of canine Lymphoma Tumor and applications of IHC Immunohistochemocal Technique to Diagnose Diseases – by student group: Le Anh Cuong, Nguyen Thi Hang, Ha Van Tam, Chu Tien Ham, and Pham Thi Minh Hue – supervisor Nguyen Thi Yen.

2. The second prize: Pathological characteristics of histology and morphology of of Porcine Epidemic Diarrhea – PED on Pigs and Application of RT-PCR Techniques in early Diagnose of PED in the Northern of Vietnam-by student group: Nguyen Thi Minh Ly, Le Van Dat, Tran Thi Bich Ngoc, Mai Van Tat and Dang Cong Thuong and supervisor: MA. Nguyen Van Diep and Vu Duc Hanh.

The third prize: Pharmacological effects of extracts from ChromolaenaOdorata to Samonella Escherichia coli (E.coli) isolated from Pigs with Porcine Diarrhea– by student group: Nguyen Dinh Trinh, Cao Duc Thuan, Vu Ngoc Thanh, Nguyen Thi Dieu Thuy, and Nguyen Thi QuynhTrang, and supervisor: Nguyen Manh Tuong.
