On the afternoon of July 25, 2025, at Vietnam National University of Agriculture (VNUA), the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine had the honor of welcoming a delegation from Hiroshima University (Japan) and representatives from Megavet Vietnam as part of a strategic meeting to discuss collaboration in education and scientific research.

The meeting was attended by Assoc.Prof.Dr. Bui Tran Anh Dao and Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Hoai Nam – representatives of the Executive Board of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, VNUA,– along with other faculty lecturers who had previously studied in Japan and now played a key role in building academic bridges between the two countries. The delegation from Hiroshima University was led by Professor Shimada Masayuki, Dean of the Faculty of Applied Biological Science, accompanied by professors from the Graduate School of Integrated Life Sciences – leading scientists in the fields of Biotechnology and Veterinary Science. A representative from Megavet Vietnam – a company that had supported various international cooperation initiatives – was also present, contributing to the effective linkage between VNUA and the company.

At the beginning of the program, both sides presented an overview of their strengths in education, development orientations, and key research areas. Notably, Hiroshima University shared detailed information about its postgraduate programs—Master’s and Doctoral degrees—offering majors related to Veterinary Medicine, Applied Biology, and Biotechnology. They also highlighted a range of attractive scholarship opportunities available to international students, including those from Vietnam.

Both parties expressed a strong desire to further promote student exchange, joint training programs, and bilateral research collaboration. These efforts aimed to enhance the quality of human resources and expand academic influence between the two countries.

The meeting took place in a warm, open, and enthusiastic atmosphere, opening up numerous prospects for deep and extensive cooperation in the future. This event not only marked the beginning of a sustainable partnership between the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, VNUA, and Hiroshima University, but also served as a vivid proof to the growing efforts in international integration on the global scientific map of Vietnam’s veterinary sector.
