On the morning of December 26, 2024, Vietnam National University of Agriculture (VNUA) held the Final Round of the 2024 Innovative Agricultural Startup Competition. The competition is an annual venue for students at not only VNUA but also many colleagues and high schools nationwide, nurturing startup and innovative ideas and encouraging students confidently develop their proposals.

Speaking at the event, Dr. Nguyen Cong Tiep, Vice President of VNUA mentioned that 2024 is the 10th year that VNUA has organized the Innovative Agricultural Startup Competition for students nationwide. The 2024 Competition was launched in March 2024 with a series of seminars "Startup Journey from High School" co-organized by VNUA and the Department of Education and Training of 26 provinces and cities in the North, and the " VNUA - 2024 Technology Knowledge and Innovative Startup Competition for the grade 12.

He asserted that ideas and projects from the competition will be realized, bringing value to life and the competition is expected to attract more qualified projects from not only domestic but also international contestants.

This year's competition attracted 108 startup projects. They were carefully prepared, applied technology, aligning with community development criteria in locality. Many of them have high potential for commercialization and investment prospect when they are deployed in the future.

During rounds of competition, contestants  were tutored and coached by domestic and foreign experts. The Organizing Committee selected the 10 best projects to compete at the final round where they presented their final projects to the judges.

Finally, the Organizing Committee awarded the first prize to the project “AGRICULTURAL ROBOT”; the second prize to the project “Enhancing the added value for products made from bamboo towards local tourism development”. Two third prizes, 03 encouragement prizes, 01 prize for the most creative project, and 01 prize voted by the audiences.
