Fulbright Scholar Program – An opportunity to pursue higher education for staff and students at Hanoi University of Agriculture

In the framework of cooperation in education and research between Vietnam and the United State (U.S), the Department of Culture and Information of the U.S. Embassy in Hanoi and the International Cooperation Office, Hanoi University of Agriculture jointly organized a meeting to briefly introduce the Fulbright Scholar Program 2015 (referred to as VSP2015) to HUA staff and students on 4 April 2014.

VSP2015 is a program which is particularly suitable for candidates who are lecturers and researchers at the university. Qualified candidates, who are elected mainly on their academic attainment and background regardless of their ethnicity, religion and gender, will be offered a grant to implement a 3 to 9 month research project at a university or a research institute in the U.S. VSP2015 has received applications from interested candidates since 10 March 2014.

During the meeting, queries and questions related to selection criteria, the most appropriate duration for a research proposal, application process, selection process, funding mechanisms, the combination of VSP2015 with other post graduate scholarships programs, etc were satisfactorily answered and clarified.
