On morning September 29, 2020, the Donation Ceremony of Research Equipment and Scholarship 2020 was held by Vietnam National University of Agriculture (VNUA) in association with Orion Vina Food Company Limited (Orion Vina).
Attending to the ceremony were Mr. Kim Jae Shin – General Director of ORION Vietnam; Mr. Park Dong Seok – Production Manager; Mr. Yeu Sung Il – General Business Director; Mr. Choi Bong Soon- Korean Embassy Counselor; Mr. Hyun Jong Nae- Director of the Korean Agricultural projects in Vietnam; Mr. Jung Mun Kyo- Agriculture Director of Orion Vina.
From VNUA, Prof. Dr. Pham Van Cuong, Vice President with representatives of International Cooperation Office, Office of Science and Technology, Institute of Agro Biology, functional offices, lecturers and students of faculties of Agronomy and Biotechnology.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Kim Jae Shin expressed his pleasure to cooperate with VNUA, especially with the Institute of Agro Biology, one of the top leading research institutes of Vietnam in producing potato seedling. It is an honor of Orion Vina to cooperate and support new and modern facilities to help developing the suitable potato seedling in Vietnam.
Mr. Kim Jae Shin hoped that with the support of Orion Vina, the Institute of Agro Biology will become the most successful institute in research and producing the potato seedling in Vietnam and at the same time, developing and providing high quality potato seedling and suitable with the farming conditions of Vietnam in the context of the 4.0 technology revolution which increase the yield and incomes for farmers.
Prof. Dr. Pham Van Cuong expressed his attitude to the cooperation and support of Orion Vina for the Institute of Agro Biology. VNUA highly appreciates the partnership with enterprises and companies. The partnership between Orion Vina and the Institute of Agro Biology is a typical model for the collaboration between enterprises with research institutes.

At the ceremony, representative of Orion Vina donated the “Khoai tây Quê hương” research equipment to the Institute of Agro Biology and awarded scholarships for students with excellent academic performance last year.
