Presenting Certificate of Completion under AIMS Program to Indonesian Students

Under the framework of Asian International Mobility for Students (AIMS) program, of which Vietnam National University of Agriculture (VNUA) has become a member since 2012, VNUA received 04 Indonesian students from Sriwijaya University and Sebelas Maret University for credit exchange of the Advanced Program of Crop Science at the Faculty of Agronomy during the first semester of 2014-2015 academic year.

On 06 Jan 2015, the International Cooperation Office (ICO) on behalf of VNUA presented Certificate of Completion for those students. Director of the ICO, Mrs. Nguyen Thi Bich Thuy, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Agronomy, Mrs. Tran Thi Minh Hang, the two members of AIMS Management Board at VNUA, attended the ceremony.

At the ceremony, the Indonesian students reported what they had gained at VNUA. They also made an overall assessment on the program in terms of administrative procedure, voluntary system, studying environment, local daily life involvement. They also raised some obstacles during their studying at VNUA for example differentiation in religion, food, and teaching methods. In general, they highly appreciated the program.

The AIMS Management Board at VNUA shared experiences during program implementation and a comprehensive assessment of the participation of students before presenting the Certificate of Completion to participating students. The AIMS Management Board at VNUA additionally informed VNUA students about AIMS program such as financial support for tuition, admission fee, local travel, accommodation and encouraged them to inquire the ICO for the further information when they are interested in.

The AIMS Management Board at VNUA expected to receive more Indonesian students and send VNUA ones to Indonesia to ensure the balance in student exchange among universities, a principle for maintenance and development of the AIMS program.
