Within the framework of cooperation between Vietnam National University of Agriculture (VNUA) and Miyazaki Prefecture, Japan on training, ensuring agricultural human resources, signed on October 13, 2022 and with the efforts of both sides and the support of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), VNUA-IDS Company has successfully dispatched the first 13 interns to work in Miyazaki Prefecture.

In order to promote achievements that both sides had achieved, on December 13, 2024, at VNUA, the MOU signing ceremony on cooperation in ensuring and fostering skilled workers in the agricultural sector between the Department of Agriculture and Fisheries Policy of Miyazaki Prefecture and the Investment Development Service Company Limited - Vietnam National University of Agriculture (VNUA-IDS) was solemnly and successfully held.

Prof. Dr. Vu Ngoc Huyen, VNUA Vice President, Chairman of VNUA-IDS, Director of the Center for Manpower Supply; Prof. RYOJI YAMAGUCHI - Miyazaki University and delegates from the Department of Agriculture and Fisheries Policy of Miyazaki Province, representative lecturers and staff from VNUA, and VNUA-IDS.

This MOU aims to promote cooperation in providing high-quality human resources for the agricultural sector between Japan and Vietnam. With the commitment of both sides, the signing ceremony is an important step forward in developing a skilled workforce, improving professional qualifications for workers in the agricultural sector, especially in training and developing labor skills according to Japanese standards.
At the ceremony, representatives of the Department of Agriculture and Fisheries Policy of Miyazaki Prefecture affirmed their great concern in developing human resources for the agricultural sector in Japan, and expressed their desire to strengthen cooperation with Vietnam in this field. Mr. TONOTOKORO HIROAKI emphasized that the signing of the MOU is an important milestone, opening up opportunities for long-term cooperation, targeting meeting demand for high-quality human resources for the agricultural sector of both countries.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vu Ngoc Huyen expressed his delight and pride in cooperating with the Department of Agriculture and Fisheries Policy of Miyazaki Prefecture. He mentioned that the bilateral cooperation will not only help improve the quality of vocational training but also create great opportunities for Vietnamese workers to access specialized skills training programs in the agricultural sector, thereby contributing to the development of Vietnam's rural economy. The MOU also outlines a cooperation plan with short-term, medium-term and long-term goals. In the short term, the two sides will implement training programs for specific skilled workers, creating favorable conditions for student exchanges between Japan and Vietnam. In the medium and long term, the two sides will continue to expand cooperation, develop advanced training models, helping Vietnamese workers to participate in working in Japan, while ensuring the improvement of the quality of human resources in the agricultural sector for both countries.
