Vietnam National University of Agriculture (VNUA) has made a strong impression at the Exhibition on Outstanding Achievements in Healthcare and Education–Training with a series of distinctive scientific and technological products, reaffirming its pioneering role in driving agricultural development and improving quality of life.
Breakthroughs in Research and Application
On September 16, 2025, within the framework of the National Conference on the Thorough Implementation of Key Politburo Resolutions on International Integration, Energy Security, Education–Training, and Healthcare, VNUA participated in the Exhibition on Outstanding Achievements in the Healthcare and Education–Training Sectors.
VNUA’s exhibition booth attracted considerable attention from the delegates and visitors, leaving a lasting impression through its innovative scientific and technological products, thereby affirming its leading position in research and creative innovation.

The products showcased at the exhibition demonstrated the diversity and depth of the university’s research, ranging from next-generation crop and livestock breeds, biological products, and advanced vaccines to food processing technologies, environmental treatment solutions, and high-tech products applying artificial intelligence (AI), the Internet of Things (IoT), and blockchain.
In addition, VNUA presented several next-generation vaccines and biological products, such as PRRS and Care vaccines, specific antibodies for poultry and swine, and the probiotic product Probiozyme Oral. These studies were not only scientifically groundbreaking but also highly applicable, contributing to addressing major challenges in the agricultural sector.
Over the past decade, VNUA had published nearly 7,000 scientific articles, including approximately 2,500 international publications, of which more than 75% appeared in the WoS/Scopus indexed journals. This extensive research output provided a solid foundation, enabling the university to continuously produce highly applicable innovations that directly benefit agriculture and society.

VNUA’s booth attracted significant attention from numerous visitors, leaving a strong impression with its wide range of distinctive scientific and technological products.
VNUA’s booth drew the attention of General Secretary To Lam and other senior leaders of the Party and the State, who acknowledged the university’s contributions to the implementation of Party Resolutions and its efforts to make science, education, and innovation key drivers of national development in the new era.
Scientific Research Driving the Development of Vietnam’s Orchid Industry
One prominent example of VNUA’s strategic research orientation was its success in the conservation and development of the orchid industry, a promising field that the university had strongly promoted. Orchids had long been regarded as among the most exquisite and valuable flowers, symbolizing sophistication, elegance, and biodiversity. Vietnam’s tropical monsoon climate and diverse topography created favorable conditions for many native orchid species, including rare and highly valuable varieties.

As a leading research institution, VNUA pursued two primary directions, including conserving native orchid genetic resources and developing high-value imported orchid varieties. Its research encompassed biological and genetic analyses, tissue culture, and the application of biotechnology for rapid propagation.
Numerous rare and hybrid orchids, including Cattleya, Phalaenopsis, Oncidium, hybrid Dendrobium, Miss Joaquim, and Vanda, had been successfully propagated on a large scale. Notably, VNUA’s advances in tissue culture and the breeding of disease-free, genetically uniform varieties had improved production efficiency, reduced costs, and enhanced market competitiveness.
Furthermore, the university had transferred several high-tech orchid production models to cultivation areas in Hanoi, Da Lat, Ho Chi Minh City, and several central provinces, forming orchid production clusters linked to eco-tourism and export markets. These efforts not only conserved valuable genetic resources but also created new development pathways for Vietnam’s agricultural sector, fostering sustainable growth and international integration.
The achievements that VNUA showcased at the exhibition underscore its pioneering role as a leading research and innovation institution. Beyond theoretical research, the university actively transformed scientific knowledge into practical products with direct applications in everyday life, from agricultural production to human health protection.
