In the afternoon of December 11th 2015, VNUA’s Acting President, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thi Lan attended "Launch Ceremony of Vietnam Climate Innovation Center (VCIC)". VCIC has been funded by the World Bank and become the 7th business hub in the system of Global Climate Innovation Center to solve climate related changes. The project has been implemented in Vietnam from 2015 to 2019. One of the priority activities of the project is to support technology incubators and enterprises in providing climate change adaptive services and products in the agricultural sector. Since Vietnam is one of the five countries predicted to be among the most affected by climate change, the Vietnamese Government considers clean technologies as a key to reduction of greenhouse gas emissions by 8 to 10% between 2010 and 2020, and 1.5 to 2% by 2050.
