Visit of the Moscow State Academy of Veterinary Medicine and Biotechnology named after KI Skriabin, Russia

On 18 Dec 2014, Dr. Fedor Vasilievich Ivanovich, an academician of the Russian Academy of Agricultural Sciences (RAAS), Director of the Moscow State Academy of Veterinary Medicine and Biotechnology named after KI Skriabin leading a delegation including representatives from academic institutions and companies in the fields of veterinary medicine and plant breeding officially visited Vietnam National University of Agriculture. Assoc. Prof. Dr Nguyen Thi Lan, VNUA Vice President for International Affairs along with representative leaders of the Faculties of Veterinary Medicine, Biotechnology and the Office of International Cooperation warmly welcomed the delegation.At the meeting, in addition to general information on training and research capacity especially in the fields of agriculture and veterinary medicine, the two sides discussed mutual interests for developing Protocols between Vietnam and Russia for example reproductive technologies, parasites and infectious diseases of dairy cattle, and biotechnology and plant breeding. The two sides further confirmed to sign a Memorandum of Understanding soon. It is strongly expected that traditional ties with Russian partners would be strengthened and new cooperation would be opened.
