White spot syndrome virus (WSSV), the causative agent of white spot syndrome in shrimp, has a wide host range including crabs, zooplankton (Copepods), molluscs, poultry and polychaete. Uca sp. is a common fiddler living in intertidal land, estuary and source water used for settling pond of shrimp farms in Nam Dinh, Nghe An and Quang Ninh. WSSV, an important viral pathogen of the shrimp, can replicate in crustacean species, therefore, it is a potential vector for virus transmission. The major aim of this study was to determine whether WSSV can be replicate on Uca sp and transmitted from Uca sp. to shrimp (Litopenaeus vannamei) through water environment. Uca sp. was infected with WSSV by injecting suspension containing WSSV in dilution 10 % on the second leg . Results showed that , wssv was detected in infected fiddler in experiment by PCR method after 107 hours of infection. WSSV was transmitted from Uca sp. to shrimp through water environment horizontally after 83 hours of exposure to Uca sp. carrying WSSV. Our findings support the contention that Uca sp. was a potential vector for virus transmission and can be a source of WSSV infection of culture shrimp.

The study was conducted to evaluate the bactericidal effect of Polygonum chinense L. on the bacterial strain (Vibrio parahaemolyticus) causing acute hepatopancreatic necrosis disease (AHPND) in shrimps. The trunks and leaves of P. chinense L. trees were extracted by soaking in ethanol. Methods applied included: Kirby-Bauer disk diffusion susceptibility testing and tests on shrimps by feeding with the diet of 25-30 g/100 kg of shrimps and soaking with the concentration of 25-30 g/m3. The results showed that crude extracts of P. chinense L. had anti-bacterial effects on V. parahaemolyticus with the inhibition zone diameter of 19.8-20.6 mm at the concentration of 66.7- 200 μg/disc. In addition, using crude extracts added to water at the ratio of 30 g/m3 at 2 times (when the pathogenesis at theV. parahaemolyticusbacteria density of 105-106 cfu/ml and after 24 h), the survival rate was 60% compared with the control group 0%, while the method of herbal supplements to foods (25-30 g/100 kg of shrimps) was not effective because shrimps could not catch bait. The result achieved is a scientiic basis for the development of herbal medicinal products to be effective in the prevention and treatment of AHPND towards biosafety and environmental friendliness

Journal of Construction Technology Science
|
In this paper, the analytical solution, and the nine-noded isoperimetric quadratic element of finite element model based on the first-order shear deformation shell theory are presented for bending analysis of functionally graded cylindrical shell panel under mechanical load and thermal effect. Functionally graded materials (FGM) are made from a mixture of ceramics and metals. Poisson’s ratio is assumed to be constant, but their Young’s moduli varies continuously in the thickness direction according to a simple power law distribution in terms of the volume fraction of constituents. The accuracy of the formulations is validated by comparing the results with those available in the literature. The effects of material composition, geometric properties, and boundary conditions on the deflection of cylindrical panel are studied.

he main purpose of this article is to present analytical solutions for bending, buckling and
free vibration analysis of cylindrical panel, which are composed of functionally graded materials
(FGMs). Equations of motion are derived using Hamilton’s principle. The first-order shear
deformation theory is used for developing Navier’s solutions of simply supported cylindrical
panel. Comparison studies are presented to verify the validity of present solution. It is found that
the presented results are close to those existing. The effect of volume fraction distributions,
panel aspect ratio, and side-to-thickness ratio on the deflections, buckling loads and natural
frequencies is also investigated.

In this paper, theoretical formulation, Navier’s solutions, and finite element models based on the first-order shear deformation shell theory are presented for the free vibration analysis of functionally graded doubly-curved shallow shell panels including thermal effects. The temperature field is considered uniform distribution over the shell surface and varied in the thickness direction only. Material properties are assumed to be temperature-dependent, and graded in the thickness direction according to a simple power law distribution in terms of the volume fractions of the constituents. All four edges of the shell panels are assumed to be simply supported. Comparisons reveal that the numerical results obtained from the proposed method agree well with those available in the literature. The effects of side-to-thickness ratio (a/h), temperature fields (Tc) and volume fraction distribution (p) on the natural frequencies of the functionally graded doubly-curved shallow shell panels are also investigated in the present study.
Keywords: Functionally graded materials (FGM), free vibration analysis, FSDT, FEM, thermal environment, doubly-curved shells.

Using the Monte-Carlo simulation to study the effect of size nanocrystals (NCs) deposited randomly at the sample surface and considered as the center recombination. The electron beam induced current is collected by a nano-contact. Results are show that the electron beam induced current decrease when size of NCs augments as an exponential function. From the profiles of the electron beam induced current, the minority carrier diffusion length is extracted. The effect of NCs size on the minority carrier diffusion length is studied and the results show that the minority career diffusion length decrease with increasing of NCs size. This is explained because of the increasing the zone of recombination at the sample surface.

This article introduces the results of the study on technology and technological process of rice-seed drying with intermediate incubation stage. From the results, the highest quality of rice- seeds with percentage of germination of 98% and vitality of 97% can be obtained with the condition that the rice-seeds were dried at temperature of 40oC and the velocity of drying factor was 0.24 m/s. With a drying technique including an intermediate incubation stage, the rice-seeds having initial humidity of 25% are dried at the first stage of 40oC to the humidity of 18%. Then, the rice-seeds are incubated (the supply of temperature and air is stopped) during 4 hours. After that, they are dried at the second stage of 42oC to the humidity of 13%. This is the best condition for highest quality of rice-seeds as well as the drying time and the specific energy costs are reduced by 10%.

The effect of NCs size on the minority carrier diffusion length is studied and the results show that the minority carrer diffusion length decrease with increasing of NCs size. This is explained because of the increasing the zone of recombination at the sample surface.

The corn dryer powered by gas deducted from burning agricultural residues SN – 1.0 has been designed and manufactured at Department of Food engineering, Vietnam National University of Agriculture. It is designed according to new principle using screw that placed vertically in drying bin to allow cyclic motion of drying materials inside the drying bin.
Experiment have been conducted to determine effects of temperature and flow of drying airflow, velocity of screw to the dryness, drying time and fuel cost. Experimental result shows that materials dryness increases thanks to continuous stirring of materials during drying process, allowing moisture from center of corn seed can easily diffuse to the surface and vaporize. The capability of removal moisture is increased contributing to reduce drying time as well as fuel cost.

Photovoltaic energy is one of the renewable energy, which can supplement or replace the fossil energy sources become exhausting currently. However, exploiting and applying of solar energy in the rural scope, agricultural production still has many limitations such as in the developing country, for example Vietnam. The expensive investment of the systems, the import of the equipment and the lack of the solutions from the government are the important reasons for this limitation. To solve a technical part of the solar energy system, we concentrate to study on a Stand –Alone photovoltaic model, and introduce a calculation method of the solar power system by average power consumption. In addition, also this paper, we design the electrical converters to supply the electricity for some remarkable sub - loads. The experiment results show that the system operates stably following the demand of the given sub-load.
