Discussion on training cooperation between VNUA and Institute of Agriculture and Karakalpak Institute of Agriculture and Agrotechnology, Uzbekistan

On the morning of March 28, 2023, Vietnam National University of Agriculture (VNUA) had a work meeting with the Karakalpak Institute of Agriculture and Agrotechnology, Uzbekistan (IAAK). The meeting was an opportunity for the two parties to discuss and come up with plans to strongly promote cooperation in training and scientific research in the near future.

The meeting was an opportunity for the two parties to discuss and come up with plans to strongly promote cooperation in training and scientific research in the near future.
Overview of the meeting
At the meeting, Prof. Dr. Pham Van Cuong, VNUA’s Vice President, welcomed the delegation of the Karakalpak Institute of Agriculture and Agrotechnology to visit and work at the university. At the same time, Prof. Dr. Pham Van Cuong also expressed his hope that the cooperation relationship between the two parties would develop further and achieve more concrete results in training activities, scientific research and other fields of mutual interest.

After a brief introduction about the establishment and development and outstanding achievements of the two parties, the two parties exchanged their views on cooperation opportunities in the field of rice production such as internships, training, conference organization, cooperation in research, etc., and develop joint training programs with dual degrees in rice industry in Uzbekistan. After more than an hour of discussion, leaders of the two parties expressed their desire to speed up the implementation of specific cooperation programs according to the memorandum of understanding signed between VNUA and Tashkent Agricultural University, Uzbekistan.

The visit and working program of the delegation of the Karakalpak Institute of Agriculture and Agrotechnology at VNUA ended successfully in an open and friendly atmosphere. After the meeting, the delegation visited the Institute of Agricultural Biology and the Faculty of Agronomy, VNUA.
