The event expressed the efforts of the AEON Environment Foundation and AEONMALL Vietnam in bringing about sustainable values to the society and creating a positive environmental protection activity for the future generation to continue and maintain the beautiful natural environment. Students from Vietnam National University of Agriculture had the chance to experience a very meaningful social activity.

The Sakura tree planting event at Hoa Binh Park was first launched in 2017. After two years of implementation, the AEON Environment Foundation, supported by AEONMALL Vietnam, has planted a total of 700 Sakura trees in Hoa Binh Park, Hanoi. In 2019, to continue the journey of more green trees initiated by the capital authority, 1000 Sakura trees from Japan have been brought to Vietnam and planted by 350 volunteers from AEON Group’s subsidiaries, Mizuho Bank as well as partners and university students (Vietnam National University of Agriculture, Foreign Trade University, University of Social Sciences and Humanities - Vietnam National University Hanoi).

The annual Sakura tree planting event not only helps AEON Environment Foundation, AEONMALL Vietnam, and Vietnam National University of Agriculture to actively convey positive messages of planting trees for environmental protection to Hanoi citizens in particular and Vietnamese in general, but also brings a brand new fresh and vibrant atmosphere to Hanoi capital.
