In 2017, Vietnam was assigned to host the 9th ASIAN SOCITEY OF VETERINARY PATHOLOGY CONFERENCE. Prof. Dr Nguyen Thi Lan – president of Vietnam National University of Agriculture was selected as the president of the ASPV for the term 2017-2019
At the 9th ASPV, there will be 350 participants from relevant ministries (MARD, MOST), embassies in Hanoi such as the Kingdom of Belgium, the United States, international organizations including FAO, JICA, and around 40 enterprises in veterinary medicine, and animal husbandry fields.
The 9th ASPV will have 43 presentations and 60 posters presented by 34 international and Vietnamese experts, notably with the keynote speeches by: Dr. Aruna Ambagala, OIE Reference Laboratories for ASF, and the Canadian National Reference laboratory for ASF; Dr. Francisco Javier Salguero, senior Veterinary Pathologist, Public health England, UK; Prof. Achariya Sailasuta, Chulalongkorn University, Thailand – formal president of the ASPV.
