On the afternoon of February 3, 2026, Vietnam National University of Agriculture (VNUA) solemnly held the opening ceremony of the Spring Fair of the Binh Ngo Year 2026 under the theme “Connecting Agricultural Products – Spreading the Spirit of Vietnamese Tet”, while officially launching the VNUA Mart e-commerce platform. The event aimed to honor the cultural values of the traditional Lunar New Year, promote outstanding agricultural products, and advance digital transformation by connecting research and training with the market in the field of agriculture.
In her opening remarks, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thi Lan, Secretary of the Party Committee and VNUA’s President, emphasized that the Spring Fair was an annual cultural and academic event of special significance. It not only recreated the vibrant traditional Tet atmosphere within a university setting but also provided students with opportunities for hands-on experience, linking academic knowledge with production practices and the market practices.
According to VNUA’s President, in the context of the country’s strong drive toward scientific and technological advancement, innovation, and digital transformation in line with major Party resolutions, VNUA clearly defined its role in bringing knowledge, technology, and high-quality human resources into practical agricultural and rural development.

A highlight of the Spring Fair of the Binh Ngo Year 2026 was the official launch of VNUA Mart, an e-commerce platform developed by VNUA to support the connection and consumption of agricultural products, OCOP products, flowers and ornamental plants, as well as specialty products from cooperatives and agricultural enterprises.
VNUA Mart was strategically positioned not merely as a commercial channel, but as a tool to support digital transformation, product standardization, and market expansion. At the same time, it would serve as a learning, practice, and startup evironment for students, particularly in the fields of digital economy and agricultural e-commerce.

Within the framework of the event, VNUA signed cooperation agreements with numerous enterprises and cooperatives, conducted the first trading sessions on the VNUA Mart platform; and organized auctions of flowers and ornamental plants, along with exhibitions and introductions of outstanding agricultural products.
These activities not only helped promote the value and visibility of Vietnamese agricultural products but also generate resources to support education, research, and student entrepreneurship, particularly for students from disadvantaged backgrounds who had achieved strong academic results.
