On the morning of January 30, 2026, Vietnam National University of Agriculture (VNUA) solemnly held the 2026 Doctoral and Master’s Degree Awarding Ceremony. The event marked an important milestone in the academic and research journey of the graduates and reaffirmed the University’s position in training high-quality human resources for the country.
Attending the ceremony were Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thi Lan, Member of the National Assembly, Secretary of the Party Committee and VNUA’s President; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vu Ngoc Huyen, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, VNUA’s Vice President; leaders of faculties, functional departments, institutes and centers; professors, associate professors and academic supervisors of doctoral candidates and master’s students. Notably, the ceremony warmly welcomed 12 new PhD graduates and 74 new Master’s graduates, together with their families, contributing to a dignified, warm and meaningful atmosphere.
Overview of the ceremony
In her address, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thi Lan extended her congratulations to the new PhD and Master’s graduates. She affirmed that VNUA always recognized and valued their contributions to education, scientific research and knowledge transfer. Regardless of their future positions or workplaces, the new PhDs and Masters would always remain valued members of the university.
She expressed her expectations that, in the context of accelerated industrialization, modernization and deep international integration, the graduates would uphold political integrity, professional ethics, a strong sense of responsibility and a spirit of dedication; continue lifelong learning, research and innovation; and make meaningful contributions to the development of their institutions, localities and society. She also hoped that the new graduates would become core agents in disseminating knowledge, fostering academic connections and promoting international cooperation, thereby enhancing the reputation, standing and brand of VNUA both nationally and internationally.

Representing the graduating PhD and Master’s students, Dr. Luu Ngoc Luong (new PhD in Development Economics) shared that, “The degree we receive today is not only the result of our individual efforts, but also the crystallization of knowledge, dedication and wholehearted guidance from our lecturers, as well as the encouragement and support of our families, colleagues and friends.”

Dr. Luu Ngoc Luong emphasized that, as they embarked on a new journey, the new Masters and PhDs were deeply aware of the responsibility of intellectuals toward society. They were committed to maintaining political integrity, professional ethics and academic spirit; continuously learning and innovating; effectively applying knowledge to practice; and making tangible contributions to the development of agriculture and the nation, living up to the trust and expectations of VNUA.

In the solemn atmosphere of the ceremony, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thi Lan, Secretary of the Party Committee and VNUA’s President, and Assoc.
