On the morning of January 22, 2026, at Giang Huong Meeting Room, Vietnam National University of Agriculture (VNUA), Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thi Lan, VNUA’s President, chaired a working session with the President of the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, Chonnam National University (CNU), Republic of Korea, with the aim of promoting cooperation opportunities and expanding student-oriented programs.

On behalf of VNUA, participants included Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thi Lan, VNUA’s President; Ms. Le Thi Bich Lien, MA, Vice Head of the Office of International Cooperation; the leaders of the Faculty of Biotechnology; and representatives of the Faculty’s research groups.

Representing Korean enterprises was Mr. Haeng Youl Hyun, Vice Chairman of FarmInTeck Company.
Following the courtesy meeting, the two sides discussed opportunities for student exchange programs and research collaboration in the field of agriculture. VNUA’s President highly appreciated and was impressed by the achievements of the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, Chonnam National University, and emphasized that the two institutions had gradually built a cooperative relationship. The representatives of the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, CNU, expressed their sincere thanks for the warm hospitality and shared their positive impressions of the modern and well-developed campus of VNUA.
During the working session, Prof. Gil Yong Kim presented some of his research results and experimental applications of a product titled “The effects of gelatinase- and chitinase-producing microorganisms (GCM) on disease control and crop yield enhancement in Korea”. Faculty members of the Faculty of Biotechnology engaged in active discussions and exchanges on this topic. The Faculty of Biotechnology and VNUA expressed their desire to further strengthen research collaboration with professors from the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, Chonnam National University.
