A representative from the Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine visited Vietnam National University Agriculture

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thi Lan, Vice President for International Affairs of Vietnam National University Agriculture (VNUA) together with representative leaders from Faculty of Veterinary, International Cooperation Office, Science and Technology Office warmly welcomed Assoc. Prof. Dr. Thu Annelise Nguyen from the Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine, on 06 April 2015. This is the first visit of the Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine (CVM) to VNUA. At the meeting, both sides made a brief introduction to the university on history timelines, human resources, facilities, organization structure, student enrolment, advanced and joint training programs, etc. VNUA and CVM also discussed on steps and essential activities to promote collaboration on training and research i.e. possibilities to proceed MOU signing and follow up actions. They further focused on mutual interest particularly in veterinary medicine, a strong discipline of both universities.

On the same day, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Thu Annelise Nguyen introduced Veterinary Research Scholars Program at the CVE, an intensive research oriented experience directed towards attracting most talented professional students into biomedical research careers. The introduction to such an interesting program encouraged VNUA students to apply for scholarships at universities in the United States of America where embraces an excellent education system.
