Ambassador of Israel to Vietnam visited and worked with Vietnam National University of Agriculture

On the morning of September 22, 2022, the Ambassador of Israel to Vietnam, Mr. Yaron Mayer, and the delegation visited and worked at the Vietnam National University of Agriculture (VNUA).

Attending the meeting, from VNUA, there were Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thi Lan, Secretary of the Party Committee, VNUA’s President; MSc. Le Thi Bich Lien, Deputy Head of the Office of International Cooperation; and leaders from Faculty of Agronomy, Faculty of Food Science and Technology, and Center for Human Resource Supply.
Overview of the working session between VNUA and Israeli Ambassador
At the meeting, President Nguyen Thi Lan and Ambassador Yaron Mayer expressed their joy and appreciation for this visit and working session. President Nguyen Thi Lan said that VNUA had had many cooperation programs with Israel in recent years such as the cooperation program on agricultural practice training in Israel; short-term professional training for university staff; academic and research exchanges; and provision of equipment for training and scientific research. These programs had been effectively implemented by two sides and contributed to closer relations and cooperation between Israel and VNUA.
President Nguyen Thi Lan hoped that the Embassy would continue to help to connect VNUA with Israeli universities and research institutes to establish cooperative relationships in the advantageous fields of the two sides such as animal husbandry, veterinary medicine, food technology, biotechnology, and, especially, high-tech agriculture, etc.

Mr. Yaron Mayer, the Ambassador of Israel to Vietnam expressed his pleasure to visit and work with VNUA and to receive a warm and attentive welcome from the university. Ambassador Yaron Mayer believed that the cooperation relationship between VNUA and Israel would be further promoted and expanded in many fields. The Ambassador hoped that in the coming time, the Israeli Embassy in Vietnam would connect prestigious Israeli higher education and research institutions with VNUA as well as continue to support the cooperation in the development of Israel's high-tech agriculture and the transfer of Israeli technology in agriculture in line with Vietnamese agriculture at VNUA.
