Assoc. Prof. Dr Nguyen Thi Lan, Acting President of VNUA received the title “Outstanding Science and Technology Intellectuals - VUSTA 2015”

On 8 October 2015, in Hanoi, the Presidium of the Central Council of Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations (VUSTA), briefly called Vietnam Union, held the Conference of Patriotic Emulation and Outstanding Science and Technology Intellectuals Award - VUSTA 2015"The Conference reviewed achievements in the patriotic emulation movement and honored Outstanding Science and Technology Intellectuals of the period 2010 – 2015. Also, the Conference aimed at acknowledging the role of emulation and commendation, stimulating initiatives, and applied research and technologies to serve the national industrialization and modernization process.Attending the Conference were representatives of the Presidium of the Central Council of Vietnam Union, and relevant departments, especially 51 outstanding intellectuals nationwide. Assoc. Prof. Dr Nguyen Thi Lan, Acting President of Vietnam National University of Agriculture attended the Conference as one of the outstanding intellectuals.

Over the years, Assoc. Prof. Dr Nguyen Thi Lan has obtained various remarkable scientific achievements. She initiated and led as well as took part in a number of both national and international research projects. In addition, she and her colleagues have productively had their research results and outcomes published in internationally recognized journals. Further, despite her hectic business schedule, she spent time advising many student teams to carry out scientific research and many of them won notable prizes. In recognition of these achievements and dedication to the national science, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thi Lan was honored to be awarded the title “Outstanding Science and Technology Intellectuals - VUSTA 2015”. Her title is the pride of Vietnam National University of Agriculture, and an inspiration for VNUA’s staff and students in their training and research.
