Implementing the training cooperation program between Vietnam National University of Agriculture (VNUA) and partner universities, from November 27, 2017 to December 8, 2017, the International Cooperation Office and Faculty of Economics and Rural Development, VNUA in collaboration with the University of Western Australia (UWA) held a joint training course entitled "Fieldwork Experience in Vietnam for Agribusiness and International Trade” for 13 UWA students and 39 students of Faculty of Economics and Rural Development, VNUA.

The training course organized at VNUA for the 3rd consecutive year was lectured by professors from School of Agricultural and Resource Economics, Faculty of Science, UWA and Faculty of Economics and Rural Development, VNUA. It was highlighted that apart from 13 VNUA - UWA student pairs are 26 VNUA students who are studying at English-taught class of agricultural economics K59. After the course, these students would receive equivalent credits of the vocational training course.

During two weeks of the course, students of both universities had interesting field trips in Hung Yen to study how different organizational structure and operation of cooperative models in Vietnam are.

During the course, UWA students also got opportunities to experience Vietnam’s famous landscape, culture, and cuisine such as visiting Hanoi Old Quarter and Halong Bay, playing folk games, learning Vietnamese language with VNUA students.

 

The training course has brought opportunities for VNUA students to exchange knowledge and experiences not only in studying but also in the real life, contributing to the improvement of VNUA’s training quality.
