A research team of Vietnam National University of Agriculture led by Dr. Nguyen Viet Dang carried out the research project entitled “Proposing solutions for developing production models in the new rural district, Hai Hau, Nam Dinh province” from 2017 to 2018. On January 10, 2019, the team reported their research results at Nam Dinh Department of Science and Technology. In this research, surveys were conducted with households, farms, household farms, cooperatives, cooperation groups and enterprises at 35 communes and towns in the district; these respondents applied different forms of agricultural production. This research has successfully identified the efficiency, advantages, disadvantages and factors affecting the development of the five production models. Having analyzed the current situations and the economic development strategy of Hai Hau district, the research team has proposed solutions for the development of production models such as: planning the production areas, constructing and developing infrastructure, strengthening collaboration in production, market development and management, enhancing quality of public services, and providing more credits to organizations, etc.
