Happy New Year letter from the Party Committee, University Council, and Boards of Presidents

HAPPY NEW YEAR LETTER FROM THE PARTY COMMITTEE, UNIVERSITY COUNCIL, AND BOARDS OF PRESIDENTS

Dear:  - Leaders and former leaders of the university;

             - University lecturers, researchers and staff;

             - PhD. students, graduate students and undergraduate students.

On the occasion of the New Year 2023, the Party Committee, University Council, and Board of Presidents would like to wish university leaders, former leaders, lecturers, researchers and staff, and all PhD. students, graduate students and undergraduate students the best health, happiness, and success.

In 2022, all leaders, lecturers, staff and students uphold the sense of responsibility, dedication, and efforts to overcome all difficulties and challenges, and successfully completed the set key tasks such as: promulgating and organizing the successful implementation of enrollment schemes and training plans at university, master and doctoral levels; managing and organizing the implementation of 11 national scientific and technological projects, 08 basic research projects, 54 ministerial/provincial scientific tasks, etc., 09 plant varieties and 05 recognized technical advances; signing strategic cooperation agreements with many foreign universities and corporations such as Wageningen University - Netherlands, University of Liège - Belgium, and Lentiz Educational Group – Netherlands, etc.; participating in high-level diplomatic forums of the National Assembly and Government in Australia, New Zealand, Belgium, and the Netherlands; continuing to implement the project "Strengthening scientific and technological capacity and training human resources for agricultural restructuring and new rural construction" funded by the World Bank; successfully verifying 04 training programs according to AUN standards; and completing the self-assessment of educational institutions according to regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training, etc.

In 2022, Vietnam National University of Agriculture (VNUA) was honored to welcome Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, the leaders of the Party and the State, to attend the Program "Start-up and Innovation Journey and VNUA Job Day 2022", and Chairman of the Lao National Assembly Saysomphone Phomvihane to visit and work with the university, which showed the deep concern of the leaders of the Party and State of Vietnam and Laos to our beloved university.

2023 is an important year, the fourth year to realize the political goals and tasks set out by the Resolution of the XXXth Party Congress of VNUA, for the 2020-2025 period. All university leaders, lecturers, staff and students would continue to carry out the teachings of President Ho Chi Minh when he visited the university which was "Strictly unite, strive constantly, to make continuous progress", to promote the achieved achievements, and to persistently implement the goals and solutions identified in the University Development Strategy to 2030, with a vision to 2050, build and develop the university into an autonomous, multi-disciplinary and multi-branch university following the model of an advanced research university in the region; a national and regional center of excellence for innovation in human resource training, scientific research, knowledge application and technological development in the fields of agriculture and rural development.

New year, new opportunities, new successes, the Party Committee, University Council, and Board of Presidents believe that each lecturer, staff and student would continue to promote the spirit of patriotic competition, solidarity, dynamism, and creativity in teaching, learning, scientific research, international cooperation, and development of facilities, striving to successfully complete the tasks of the 2022-2023 school year.

Wishing the leaders, former leaders of the university, lecturers, staff and all PhD. students, graduate students and undergraduate students always being healthy, happy and successful!
