Implementation of the second phase of Profession Oriented Higher Education (POHE2)

In order to foster the implementation of the second phase of Profession Oriented Higher Education project (POHE2) coordinated by the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) in accordance with the Overall Development Scheme of Hanoi University of Agriculture (HUA) towards 2020, and HUA’s Strategic Plan 2007-2020, a meeting to discuss POHE2 implementation chaired by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vu Van Liet, Vice Rector, was held at HUA with the attendance of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dinh Van Chinh, Vice Rector for education and training, representatives from Faculties, Offices of Training Management, and International Cooperation. The meeting focused on solutions to improve the efficiency and the development of profession orientated education. To realize the POHE goals and suggested solutions, the HUA leaders requested all the faculties, relevant functional offices to strictly perform the followings:

• Organizing the elaboration of the profession -oriented training programs with priority given to those programs which have the same name with disciplines/major level IV set by the MOET, and the inter-disciplinary programs to help learners easily access higher levels of training at HUA or other universities and/or training institutions.

• The POHE project management of HUA must complete and submit proposals appended with related documents on the establishment of POHE Center to the Rectorate Board for approval.
\r\n
• The POHE project management of HUA must develop plans and tentative programs of training workshops for faculty representatives on developing proposals for new profession oriented higher education programs and detail the second phase implementation plan of POHE at HUA.
