To promote international cooperation for the purpose of enhancing and improving the quality of training while helping to spread knowledge and comprehensive educational values to learners, on March 30, 2023, Faculty of Biotechnology, Vietnam National University of Agriculture (VNUA) re-signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Faculty of Materials Science and Biomedical Engineering, Nagaoka University of Technology, Japan. The re-signing ceremony was held online.
Overview of the ceremony at VNUA
Attending the signing ceremony, from VNUA, there were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Xuan Canh, Dean of the Faculty of Biotechnology; Dr. Nguyen Thi Thuy Hanh, Vice Dean; and Dr. Pham Thi Dung, Vice Dean and the leaders of the Departments of the Faculty of Biotechnology.
From the Faculty of Materials Science and Biomedical Engineering, Nagaoka University of Technology, Japan, there were Prof. Kidokoro Shun-ichi, Dean of the Faculty; Prof. Koichi Takimoto, Head of the International Cooperation and Student Exchange Department; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Taisuke Nishimura, in charge of Training cooperation; and the other lecturers of the Faculty of Materials Science and Biomedical Engineering.

Speaking at the re-signing ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Xuan Canh, Dean of the Faculty shared that, “For the purpose of enhancing and improving the quality of training while spreading knowledge and comprehensive educational values to learners, the Faculty of Biotechnology, VNUA, always focuses on building and developing advanced training programs in line with social needs and rapid progress in the context of globalization. Graduates from the Faculty of Biotechnology, VNUA, are always appreciated for their expertise and professional skills. The re-signing of this Memorandum of Understanding will continue to develop the cooperation of the two parties, opening a new and comprehensive cooperation direction, helping to promote the strengths of each party to connect and support each other during the operation and development, promising to bring about many benefits to both parties in training, research, consulting, career guidance, and brand promotion”.

Also at the ceremony, Prof. Kidokoro Shun-ichi, Faculty Dean, expressed his pleasure to cooperate with the Faculty of Biotechnology, VNUA. Prof. Kidokoro Shun-ichi hoped that this partnership would create opportunities for both parties to promote their strengths, bringing many benefits in training, scientific research, and brand promotion for the two parties and serving for long-term and sustainable development.
MoU signing ceremony
After a period of exchange and discussion, the leaders of the two parties conducted the ceremony to re-sign and renew the agreement according to the Memorandum of Understanding on student exchange between the Faculty of Biotechnology, VNUA, Vietnam and the Faculty of Materials Science and Biomedical Engineering, Nagaoka University of Technology, Japan signed on June 11, 2018. The extended validity period of the MoU would be for a five-year period from the date of renewal.
The MoU signing ceremony ended successfully. The two parties agreed to work together to actively coordinate in the implementation of the signed contents for the purpose of enhancing and improving the quality of training and, at the same time, tightening the relationship between the two parties and marking a long-term cooperation relationship and mutual development of the two parties. /.
