On the morning of January 8, 2023 at Hall A, the Faculty of Natural Resources and Environment, Vietnam National University of Agriculture (VNUA) signed a Memorandum of Understanding with RecyGlo Company in Vietnam in the Signing Ceremony entitled "Vietnam National University of Agriculture accompanies businesses, cooperatives and farmers for a green, clean and safe agriculture – Theme 1: Research, transfer and social services”; The signing ceremony was witnessed by Dr. Nguyen Quoc Hung, Member of the 15th National Assembly; Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thi Lan, Secretary of the VNUA’s Party Committee and VNUA’s President; Prof. Dr. Tran Duc Vien, Chairman of Science and Training Council; Prof. Dr. Pham Van Cuong, Prof. Dr. Pham Bao Duong, and Dr. Vu Ngoc Huyen, VNUA’s Vice Presidents; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Trong Phuong, Dean of the Faculty of Natural Resources and Environment, VNUA, and more than 500 delegates including the enterprises, cooperatives, representatives of farmers' associations, and state management agencies on the environment.

This event was part of the implementation activities of the development strategy on Science, Technology and International Cooperation of the Faculty of Natural Resources and Environment, VNUA, for the period of 2021-2026 with a vision to 2030, in the implementation of research results and international cooperation associated with training, contributing to the development of the Natural Resources and Environment sector and the agriculture sector and the rural development of the country. During the past years, RecyGlo had cooperated with the Faculty of Natural Resources and Environment, VNUA, in joint activities to survey the fertilizer market in Vietnam to have a better orientation for the combined product and evaluate the production potentials and bring the product to the market. During the signing event, RecyGlo and the Faculty agreed to carry out the following activities: Cooperation in scientific research and technology transfer, in which RecyGlo would support the development of a pilot system for research and production of fertilizers from domestic waste; Cooperation in training, RecyGlo would recruit Faculty's students into internship positions to familiarize themselves with the jobs in a professional environment; Coordination in organizing seminars and conferences with the participation of experts in order to share relevant information; and Other support activities between the 2 parties.

At the conference, six laboratories meeting ISO 17025:2017 with hundreds of analytical criteria achieving Vilas certification were launched. The Faculty of Natural Resources and Environment, VNUA, had two laboratories, including the Soil and Fertilizer Quality Assessment Laboratory and the Environment Laboratory. The Soil and Fertilizer Laboratory had 23 testing criteria meeting ISO standards and the Environmental Laboratory had 10 testing criteria meeting ISO standards. Currently, the Faculty was promoting the expansion and registration of analytical criteria to meet the needs of fertilizer testing and environmental analysis. In the spirit of cooperation between the two parties, the Faculty of Natural Resources and Environment, VNUA, and RecyGlo would coordinate to build a pilot research system to produce fertilizers from domestic waste. This would be a research model associated with training as well as a study tour facility.
