On the morning of March 26, 2024, Vietnam National University of Agriculture (VNUA) held a signing ceremony of a cooperation agreement with Hsuan Chuang University, Taiwan. The signing ceremony was considered an important event, contributing to opening up new opportunities for cooperation between the two universities in training and research, especially in language programs, tourism management, and hotel and restaurant management, etc.
Representatives of the delegation from Hsuan Chuang University included Dr. Shao Chi Chien, President; Ms. Tai Shu Zhen, Director of the Office of International Relations; and Dr. Lai Ting Zhang, Head of Admissions Committee.
The representative of the Taiwan Vocational Education Association was Dr. Pham Hoa Hue, Secretary of Taiwan Vocational Education Association, Lecturer at Chungyu University, Taiwan.
From VNUA, there were Prof. Dr. PhamVan Cuong, VNUA’s Vice President; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Viet Long, Director of the Office of International Cooperation; MSc. Tran Duy Tung, Vice Director of the Office of Science and Technology; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phan Xuan Hao, Vice Director of the Office of Training Management; Dr. Nguyen Tat Thang, Dean of the Faculty of Tourism and Foreign Languages; Dr. Ho Ngoc Ninh, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Tourism and Foreign Languages; and Msc. Tran Thi Ha Nghia, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Tourism and Foreign Languages.

Speaking at the ceremony, Prof. Dr. Pham Van Cuong was very honored to welcome the delegation of Hsuan Chuang University, Taiwan, and representatives of the Taiwan Vocational Education Association to visit and work at VNUA, one of Vietnam's leading research and training institutions.

In the past years, VNUA had always actively promoted its cooperation with Taiwan. From 2018 up to now, VNUA had signed MOU with many universities in Taiwan such as National Chung Hsing University, Pingtung National University of Science and Technology, Chien Hsin University of Science and Technology, National University of Kaohsiung, Minghsin University of Science and Technology, National Taipei University of Technology, and National Pingtung University of Science and Technology. Many VNUA’s students had participated in exchange courses, experiences, and practical internships in Taiwan.

Representing Hsuan Chuang University, Dr. Shao Chi Chien was very pleased to have signed a memorandum of cooperation with VNUA to continue collaborative research activities in fields such as languages, tourism management, hotels, and restaurants, etc., and, at the same time, strongly promote cooperation opportunities in many aspects such as human resource development, professional internship activities, scholarships, and support for undergraduate students, graduate students, and PhD fellows of both universities. The MOU was also important in the collaboration and exchange in training, scientific research and technology transfer to improve the capacity of the staff and lecturers between the two universities.

The signing ceremony of the memorandum of cooperation between VNUA and Hsuan Chuang University ended successfully. With this milestone, VNUA continued to expand its international partner network, helping students to gain richer learning and research conditions.
