Postgraduate scholarship opportunities at Gyeongsang National University, South Korea

On the morning of February 8, 2023, Vietnam National University of Agriculture was pleased to welcome a delegation from Gyeongsang National University, South Korea (GNU) to work, exchange and introduce scholarship opportunities for postgraduate training at GNU for VNUA’s staff and students. Gyeongsang National University is a long-time and close partner of VNUA, the two universities have jointly implemented many cooperation activities in training, scientific research and international publication.

At the meeting, representatives of the two universities discussed and exchanged contents of cooperation in training, scientific research, exchange programs of lecturers and students, and postgraduate scholarships of GNU for VNUA’s staff and students. At the same time, both universities expressed their desire to continue maintaining a sustainable partnership and further promote exchange programs and academic linkages.

Introduction to the postgraduate training scholarships at Gyeongsang National University, South Korea

Within the framework of the meeting, the representative of Gyeongsang National University had a meeting with VNUA’s staff and students. Vice President Kim Gonsup and members of the delegation of Gyeongsang National University gave an overview of the univerisity, as well as its highlights and information about its postgraduate training scholarship programs for VNUA’s staff and students. VNUA’s staff and students who were interested in the training programs and scholarships of Gyeongsang National University had the opportunity to directly discuss with the representatives of GNU’s faculties.

On this occasion, the Graduate School of Mechanical and Aeronautical Engineering, GNU and the Faculty of Engineering, VNUA established a partnership through the first co-organized activity, the Introduction to Mechanical Engineering and Aerospace Technology Seminar in Gyeongsang, South Korea. At this conference, the staff and students of Faculty of Engineering, VNUA had the chance to update, discuss and exchange information about training programs, BK21 scholarship program of the Korean Government, scientific research results as well as the development of the mechanical industry (energy systems, materials, sensors, robots, and controlling, etc.) and the aviation industry in Gyeongsang province, South Korea. The two parties hoped to open up many opportunities for cooperation in research and scientific publication, implementation of exchange programs, and combined training of PhD students, etc.
