Prospects of cooperation between the First Study Japanese Language School and Hanoi University of Agriculture

On 28 March, 2014, Prof. Dr. Tran Duc Vien, Rector of Hanoi University of Agriculture (HUA), warmly received Mr. Masahiro Matsuoka, Rector of the First Study Japanese Language School (FSJLS) and also Director of Infinite Growth Company, with the presence of Director of the School of International Education and Development. Participating in the reception there were also representative leader of the International Cooperation Office and lecturers who had studied and worked in Japan.

The FSJLS, formerly known as Japanese Language Center, located in the city of Osaka, Japan, not only provides orientation and tutorial programs for high school pupils and students but also Japanese language programs for international students and workers. In the pursuit of training a competent human resources with high qualification and Japanese proficiency to contribute to a more profound and strengthening friendship between Vietnam and Japan the FSJLS has offered preferential tuition fees and accommodation, and hosted meetings to introduce and share studying and working experiences in Japan, to recommend job opportunities at Japanese companies for its students. Particularly, the FSJLS has also offered free tutorial courses for the students who wish to pursue their higher education in Japan.

Speaking at the meeting, Prof. Dr. Tran Duc Vien on behalf of HUA sincerely thanked and highly appreciated the initial establishment of Japanese Language Center in Osaka, Japan. He also expressed the hope that the two sides would push up collaboration through such activities as building a center to teach Japanese language by native teachers at HUA or organizing exchange student programs which after all create more opportunities for HUA students to study and work in Japan as well as to work for Japanese companies in Vietnam. HUA Rector has appointed the School of International Education and Development as a contact unit to further discuss and develop bilateral cooperation programs.
