Signing the Memorandum of Understanding with Academies Australasia Group Ltd., opening study opportunities in Australia

On September 26, 2019, Prof. Dr. Pham Van Cuong, Vice President of Vietnam National University of Agriculture (VNUA) warmly welcomed Academies Australasia Group Limited to sign the MOU between two parties. From VNUA, there were also Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thi Bich Thuy, Director of the International Cooperation Office, Dr. Vu Ngoc Huyen, Director of VNUA Center for Manpower Supply and university staff. From Academies Australasia, there were Mr. Christopher Elmore Campbell, CEO/Managing Director, Mrs. Gabriela Del Carmen Rodriguez Naranjo, Deputy Group Managing Director and Group Chief Operating Officer, Mr. Pham Cong Chinh, Marketing Director.

Before the signing of this strategic MOU, Academies Australasia and VNUA Center for Manpower Supply had organized a number of promotion sessions on study abroad opportunities for VNUA’s students in Australia and Singapore. Based on the demand as well as the meaning of the cooperation for students and lecturers, the Board of Directors of the VNUA Center for Manpower Supply has consulted VNUA's leaders on the strategic cooperation between the two parties, reaching the agreement to prioritize the promotion of cooperation in the exchange of agriculture-related training courses, especially agricultural vocational training courses, as well as training programs related to the content that both sides are developing such as tourism management, business management, and agronomy.

The Memorandum of Understanding focused on student and staff exchanges, agricultural specialist exchanges, academic exchanges as well as exchanges of research materials and publications, and the organization of international agriculture programs, conferences and seminars. Hopefully, this MOU will help better strengthen the cooperation not only in education but also in other aspects with the final outcome of enhancing education quality and research capacities of the two parties. In addition, Academies Australasia also sent an invitation to VNUA to participate in the International Conference on Agriculture held in Malaysia at the end of 2019, which would be a great opportunity to promote the university image and seek opportunities to cooperate with prestige organizations in the world in the field of agriculture.

During the signing ceremony, the representative of Academies Australasia, Mr. Christopher Elmore Campbell, signed a cooperation agreement on providing supports to students when finding study opportunities in Australia and Singapore with Dr. Vu Ngoc Huyen, Director of VNUA Center for Manpower Supply; the two parties also had a discussion with the leaders of the Faculty of Accounting and Business Management, VNUA, on the same day. The signing with Academies Australasia will open up more opportunities for VNUA’s students and lecturers to study and work in Australia and Singapore, which will help promote the image of Vietnam National University of Agriculture to international friends.
