On the morning of February 17, 2023, Vietnam University of Agriculture (VNUA) had a meeting with the delegation of the University of Hannover (LUH), Germany led by Prof. Dr. Ulrike Grote, Director of the Institute of Environmental Economics and International Trade, University of Hannover.

Attending the meeting and working with the delegation were Prof. Dr. Pham Bao Duong, VNUA’s Vice President; MSc. Le Thi Bich Lien, Vice Director of the International Cooperation Office, Dr. Nguyen Huu Nhuan, Vice Dean of Faculty of Economics and Rural Development; Assoc.Prof.Dr. Tran Dinh Thao, Director of the Institute of Economics and Development and staff, lecturers and experts of the International Cooperation Office, Science and Technology Office, and Faculty of Economics and Rural Development.

In the open atmosphere of the meeting, Prof. Dr. Pham Bao Duong, VNUA’s Vice President welcomed the delegation of the University of Hannover to visit and work at university. At the same time, Prof. Dr. Pham Bao Duong also expressed his hope that the cooperation relationship between the two universities would develop more and more and achieve more particular results in training, scientific research and other fields of mutual interest.

After a brief introduction of the establishment and development process and outstanding achievements of the two universities, the University of Hannover and VNUA exchanged their views on cooperation opportunities in training and scientific research between the two universities. After more than an hour of discussion, leaders of the two universities expressed their desire to quickly implement the cooperation programs by signing the memorandums of understanding as soon as possible.

At the end of the working program, the two universities agreed to appoint representatives to continue to exchange and agree on the contents of the memorandum of understanding and hope that after this meeting, the cooperation programs between the two universities would ne gradually completed, bringing the benefits to staff, lecturers and students and affirming the position of the two universities in the near future./.
