In the first recruitment round, there were 37 candidates participating in the recruitment, and 13 candidates were officially selected. In the coming time, selected candidates will be able to participate in the process of foreign language and professional training at VNUA which is directly taught by JICA's long-term and short-term experts and VNUA’s lecturers".

Mr. Kohno Sunji, Governor of Miyazaki Prefecture, Japan, delivers a speech at the event

At the event, Mr. Kohno Sunji, Governor of Miyazaki Prefecture shared that, "In October 2022, Miyazaki Prefecture signed a "cooperation agreement on ensuring and training human resources"; hence, we are planning to receive the first batch of trainees from VNUA to come to our agricultural facilities starting from December. This is highly expected and attracts a lot of attention, especially in vocational training institutions related to agriculture. After this meeting, I am also very excited to interact with students in general or students who will come to Miyazaki in particular. In addition, Japan is considering improving working skills for foreign workers, and a skill training system for interns as well. The shortage of human resources is becoming a serious problem in the professions in our province. Therefore, we put our faith on the talented young people from Vietnam.”
