Vietnam National University of Agriculture supported Japan to recover from the earthquake

On the afternoon of 17th May, 2016, a delegation from Vietnam National University of Agriculture (VNUA) paid a visit to the Embassy of Japan in Vietnam in order pledge support for relief efforts over losses caused by the consecutive earthquake occurred on 14th and 16th April in Kumamoto province, Japan.Leading the delegation was Assoc. During the visit, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thi Lan sincerely conveyed her deep sympathy for the losses of life and property that the Japanese were suffering and expressed admiration for strong spirit, courage and resilience of the Japanese in the recovery efforts. Through the Embassy of Japan in Vietnam, staff as well as students of VNUA sent heartfeltcondolences to all of those affected by the recent earthquakes in Kumamoto. VNUA donated 100 million VND to join hands in the recovery efforts. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thi Lan strongly believed that the Japanese with their spirit of unity and willpower will soon overcome this tragedy.
