On 9 Dec 2014, the Agreenium, a French legal entity bringing together the French National Institute for Agricultural Research (Inra), the French Agricultural Research Center for Development (Cirad), the Paris Institute of Technology for Life, Food, and Environmental Sciences (AgroParisTech), the Institute for Higher Education in Agricultural, Agrifood, Horticultural and Landscape Sciences (Agrocampus Ouest), the International Centre for Higher Education in Agricultural Sciences (Montpellier SupAgro), and the National Polytechnic Institute of Toulouse (INPT), paid an official visit to Vietnam National University of Agriculture. Over 58 year development, Vietnam National University of Agriculture (VNUA) has produced nearly 80,000 undergraduates, 5,000 Masters and 500 PhDs who have made important contributions to the development of Vietnam, particularly the agricultural sector, which recruits about 80% of the annual graduates from VNUA. In addition, VNUA has trained about 500 graduates at all levels for Laos, Cambodia, Angola, China, and Mozambique. Many of these alumni have held key posts in agricultural agencies and have made great contributions to the socio-economic development in their home countries.
