UniRank ™, the international higher education ranking system, has just announced the ranking of universities that have the most popular websites in 2019.

Upon the ranking, Vietnam National University of Agriculture (VNUA) ranked the 5th among higher education institutions in Vietnam, rising 18 places compared to the ranking published in October, 2018.

The ranking of VNUA has surged

Established since 2005, UniRank is an organization that evaluates and ranks higher education institutions in the world based on the information of the educational institution that can be measured on the Internet. Exploiting the big data stored on the Internet, this evaluation method allows the application of "quantitative" tools, ensuring its neutrality, minimizing the qualitative indicators which is the weakness of many other rankings. More importantly, UniRank only exploits independent data from the Internet instead of data provided by the higher education institution.

Institutions that are ranked by UniRank must meet the following conditions: being officially recognized, licensed and/or accredited by national or regional bodies or government recognized accrediting organizations; being officially licensed or authorized to grant at least four-year undergraduate degrees (Bachelor's Degrees) and/or postgraduate degrees (Master's and Doctoral Degrees), and offering higher education courses mainly in a traditional face-to-face learning format delivered through on-site facilities. Up to now, UniRank has reviewed and published the rankings of over more than 13,000 officially recognized Universities and Colleges over the world, becoming one of rankings with the largest database in the world.

VNUA ranks the 5th among the universities in Vietnam, which indicates its effective application of “digitalization” technology application in the training activities, scientific research, and international cooperation of VNUA to catch up with the global 4.0 technology trend.

On this occasion, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thi Lan, VNUA president praised the efforts of the presidency board, leaders and staff of all faculties, offices, and affiliated units, and the students in renewing and improving the quality of training, research, international cooperation and international publications as well the communication enhancement on the website, etc.
