VNUA warmly welcomed the Delegation of the Hungarian University Rectors

Shortly after attending the Conference of Vietnamese and Hungarian University Rectors hosted by the Vietnamese Ministry of Education and Training in Hanoi, in the afternoon of 28 Dec 2014, the Hungarian University Rectors Delegation with the participation of Dr. János Tozsér, Rector of Szent István University, one of the universities of Kaposvár University; Mr. Elek Bartha, Vice Rector of the University of Debrecen, Mr. Marton Beke, Coordinator of Tempus Public Foundation, a non-profit organization established in 1996 by the Hungarian Government and several other members officially visited Vietnam National University of Agriculture. President of VNUA, Prof. Dr. Tran Duc Vien and Vice President for International Affairs of VNUA, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thi Lan warmly welcomed the delegation.

At the meeting, the parties exchanged general information about their capacity in terms of education and research. They further shared mutual interests, and potential cooperation opportunities for example postgraduate trainings i.e. scholarships provided the Hungarian government to study in Hungary, scientific research and exchanges, and short training courses. The delegation then visited facilities and laboratories of the Faculties of Biotechnology, and Veterinary Medicine.

On this occasion, the University of Kaposvar and Vietnam National University of Agriculture signed a MoU which has laid down a foundation for future cooperation.

The Hungarian delegation extended sincere thanks for VNUA’s warm welcome and committed to a realization of potential cooperation in a short coming time.
