Concerns, expectations, and opinions of students regarding of training regulations, scholarships opportunities to study abroad, scientific research, and facilities for teaching and learning, etc., were openly raised, discussed and clarified by the leaders of related offices and faculties at the "Dialogue between leaders and students of Vietnam National University of Agriculture 2019" held on November 6, 2019.

Attending the Dialogue were Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thi Lan - President, Prof. Dr. Tran Duc Vien – Chair, Board of Trustees, Prof. Dr. Pham Van Cuong - Vice President and representative leaders of related offices and faculties, Youth Union, Student Association, and more than 600 undergraduates, post-graduates of the university.

The Dialogue is an annual activity aimed at creating a direct communication forum between the university leaders and students through which the university leaders can capture thoughts and expectations of students during their studying. At the same time, it provides students with information about the Communist Party's guidelines, policies, state laws and regulations, and principles relating to student regimes, rights and obligations; thereby, timely solving the legitimate suggestions and needs of students, in order to create the best conditions for students during the course of study at the university. With the motto of putting learners on center, the Dialogue encouraged the initiative, creativity and responsibility of students. Also, the Dialogue is definitely significant for the university leadership to grasp the situation and set out effective solutions, contributing positively to the improvement of training and scientific research quality.

Nearly 500 questions from students had been collected focusing on issues of training management system, dormitories, lecture halls, scholarship programs, scientific research, commendation, discipline, union - association movement, business association, employment support. In addition, many questions are also raised directly at the Dialogue.

The leaders of the university and representatives of relevant functional offices clearly and specifically answered and clarified concerns so that students can better understand the quality assurance credit based training process as well as related policies, rights and obligations and they can themselves make better plan for their studying.

Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thi Lan expressed her high appreciation and acknowledge on opinions made by students at the Dialogue. She requested related offices to quickly find appropriate solutions to overcome the shortcomings and offer the best conditions for students to study at the university. She further mentioned that the faculties and functional offices should always make the best use of various information channels such as mailboxes, emails, social networks to be able to regularly receive and timely listen to feedback and constructive comments of students. For students, she wished and required that each student should enhance their self-awareness in research and learning activities in order to meet all requirements of training program so that they can satisfy requirements of the job they apply in the future.
