To enhance and broaden domestic and international cooperation in quality management and food safety, the renowned research group "Preservation and Processing of Products of Animal Origin" from the Faculty of Science and Technology held a productive working session with Mr. Chandraprasad S. Rajangan, CEO and Consultant of Everest 23 Professional and Solutions Sdn Bhd, Kuala Lumpur. The discussion focused on exploring opportunities for collaboration in training, consulting on the establishment of food safety systems, transferring research outcomes from the laboratory to practical production, and providing technical services.
The session was attended by all members of the research group specializing in preserving and processing animal-origin products, as well as lecturers and researchers from the Faculty.
Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Hoang Anh opened the session by welcoming Mr. Chandra to the Faculty of Food Science and Technology.
Following this, Mr. Chandra introduced Everest 23 Professional and Solutions. Established in 2018, the company has conducted numerous consulting and training activities in Malaysia and is expanding into the Singapore and Cambodia markets. Specializing in food safety system construction, laboratory design and construction, and technical services, including import/export assistance and product testing. The company also offers solutions for hygiene-related issues. Additionally, Everest 23 excels in designing software that analyzes data and provides recommendations based on food analysis results. Their extensive practical experience with businesses has enabled them to conduct many training courses for universities.

Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Hoang Anh gave a general introduction about the Vietnam National University of Agriculture and the Food Science and Technology. The University is a multidisciplinary university with high-quality human resources and strong relationships with businesses. It regularly organizes job fairs with the participation of more than 500 businesses to interview and hire students.
The Faculty of Food Science and Technology, with more than 20 years of construction and development, has human resources trained in developed countries around the world. It is equipped with spacious and modern facilities and has achieved many accomplishments in teaching, research, and international cooperation activities. Additionally, the Faculty of Food Science and Technology maintains strong relationships with businesses, supporting training and creating job opportunities for students.

After the discussions, both parties have agreed to co-organize a seminar in the near future. This seminar aims to provide information and raise awareness among students and businesses about food safety and quality management systems. It will serve as an excellent opportunity for experts to gain a comprehensive understanding of the current situation, strengths, and weaknesses of Vietnamese students and businesses. This understanding will enable more in-depth support during future consultations.
Mr. Chandra visited the Center Laboratory in the Faculty of Food Science and Technology, where he reviewed the machinery system and ongoing research. He offered valuable advice on optimizing the laboratory system to meet ISO 17025 standards.
At the end of the meeting, the research team thanked Mr. Chandra for the valuable information shared. The results of the meeting generated many ideas for collaboration between the Vietnam National University of Agriculture, Everest 23 Professional Solutions, and food businesses in Vietnam.
