After six months of discussion in both Vietnam and Korea, on April 20, 2018, the signing ceremony of the educational cooperation agreement between Vietnam National University of Agriculture (VNUA) and Kyungsung University, Korea, was held successfully at VNUA.
The delegation of the Kyungsung University included President Soo Geun Song and his wife – Mrs. Hang-A Song, Mr. Young Hwan Roh – Director of the President Office, Dr. Taioun Kim – Director of the Foreign Affairs Office, and other specialists. Welcoming and working with the Korean delegation from VNUA were Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thi Lan – VNUA President; Dr. Vu Ngoc Huyen –Director of the Office of Political and Student Affairs, and Director of the Center of Human Resource Supply, MSc. Le Thi Bich Lien – Deputy Director of the Office of International Cooperation, and other staff of the Office of International Cooperation and the Center of Human Resource Supply at the university.
Before the signing of the Memorandum of Cooperation with Kuyungsung University, Vietnam National University of Agriculture has signed the MOU with a total of 20 Korean leading universities and colleges such as Seoul National University, Chonbuk National University, Chungnam National University, and Kangwon National University to name a few.
Located at the center of Busan city, the second largest city in Korea, Kyungsung University was established in 1955. As a multi-disciplinary university in the fields of natural sciences, social sciences, as well as specializations in law, medicine, and business management, Kyungsung University is an ideal destination for many international students since scholarships are available for students with excellent academic achievements.
The signing of the Memorandum of Understanding between Vietnam National University of Agriculture and Kyungsung University Korea is an important milestone in the cooperation relationship between the two universities as well as between Vietnam and Korea.
As specified in the MOU, VNUA and Kyungsung University are going to collaborate through the exchange of academic scholars, scientific research, and the exchange of learning materials and publications. Notably, the Kyungsung University will award two full scholarships to students with the highest scores in the entrance exam to Vietnam National University of Agriculture. This a great opportunity for high school students who dream of studying in Korea.
Hopefully, in the coming years, the two universities will continue to develop the relationships, collaborate, and provide support to each other in training and research so as to grow together!
